This is not just about one pig; it’s about the broader issue of pigs being treated as the intelligent, sentient animals they are. They are wonderful companions. They deserve respect, love, and protection under the law.
Help us change the laws about keeping pet pigs
Pigs everywhere are having to be re-homed due to intolerant councils and neighbours.
Change needs to happen.
Pigs are generally seen as dirty and noisy animals when in fact the opposite is true, and people need to be educated. A happy and healthy pig on a suitable sized property is a wonderful neighbour to have!
With more and more people opting to have pigs as pets, companion and support animals, we need to ensure they can stay in their homes. A simple complaint based on nothing but uneducated bias, can be a big issue for pet pigs and their people.
Farm animal rescue sanctuaries are also being subjected to the same requirements as factory farms with hundreds, to thousands, of confined animals. This also needs to change. As does factory farming, and there’s some really good people working on that.
